Muslim Daily: Prayer & Fast (“the app”) respects your privacy. This policy describes how the app collects, uses, and protects your data.

1. Data Collected

1.1 Data You Provide

• Location/Address: You manually select a city or district name within the app. This address is used to calculate iftar and sahur times. The address is stored only on your device (UserDefaults) and is sent to the prayer times service (Aladhan API) when needed.

1.2 Automatically Collected Data

• Device Information: The advertising service (Google AdMob) may collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, and usage data.
• Advertising Data: AdMob may collect data to improve the advertising experience. On iOS 14.5+ devices, “App Tracking Transparency” (ATT) permission is requested; you may decline this permission.

1.3 Data Stored on Device (UserDefaults)

• Selected location/address
• Theme preference (light/dark/system)
• Onboarding completion status

This data is stored only on your device and is not shared with third parties.

2. Use of Data

3. Third-Party Services

3.1 Google AdMob

The app uses Google AdMob. Banner and App Open ads are displayed. AdMob’s data collection policy: Google Privacy Policy.

3.2 Aladhan API

Prayer times are calculated via Aladhan API. Your selected address is sent to this service. Aladhan’s privacy policy: Aladhan API.

3.3 Apple MapKit

Location search uses Apple’s MapKit (MKLocalSearchCompleter) service. Search queries are sent to Apple.

4. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

The app offers optional in-app purchases and auto-renewable subscriptions (e.g. Premium) through the Apple App Store. All payments are processed by Apple. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information (such as credit card details). Your purchase and subscription history are managed by Apple. To view, cancel, or manage subscriptions, use your device’s Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. For more information, see Apple’s support page on managing subscriptions.

5. Notifications

The app may send local notifications for the following. You can enable or disable each type in Settings → Notifications within the app.

Ramadan (iftar & sahur):

• 2 hours, 1 hour, and 30 minutes before iftar
• 2 hours, 1 hour, and 30 minutes before sahur
• Greeting at iftar time (“May God Accept”)
• Optional greeting when Ramadan ends (Eid)

Prayer times: At the start of each prayer time (Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha) for your selected location.

Daily Dua and Daily Verse: A reminder at 12:00 PM to read the day’s dua and Quran verse.

Dhikr (Zikir) reminder: A reminder at 10:00 AM to do your dhikr.

Friday prayer: A reminder 1 hour before Friday (Jumu’ah) prayer time.

Notification permission is optional. You can turn off the app’s notifications in your device’s Settings → Notifications or manage each type in the app’s Settings → Notifications.

6. Data Security

• Address and preferences are stored unencrypted in UserDefaults on your device.
• Advertising data is processed on Google’s servers.

7. Children’s Privacy

The app does not knowingly collect data from users under 13 years of age.

8. Changes

When this policy is updated, changes will be reflected on this page. We may send in-app notifications for significant changes.
